What are we looking for?
The EMC Engineer will support the Electrical business by independently performing testing and evaluation on a variety of products to the provisions of U.S., Canadian, and other international product EMC standards, writing reports, and communicating with clients. .
Shift/Schedule: M-F 8:00 am - 5PM PST

What you'll do:
- Independently conduct evaluation of products to determine compliance with applicable standard(s).
- Read and determine applicability of national codes and standards clauses for the EUT (Equipment Under Test).
- Read and understand schematics and manufacturing instructions.
- Validate the project scope and sample applicability.
- Under scope of the project, identify and locate test instruments and equipment required for testing.
- Follow established test plan.
- Set up and operate EUT; perform and document simple repairs on EUT as needed.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, power systems or physics is required.
- Spring 24 grads welcome to apply.
- 0+ years directly related experience,
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
- Ability to make technical decisions and engineering judgments independently within established parameters.
- Ability to travel, up to 25%
- A valid driver's license and reliable d\driving record is required.
Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering preferred.
- Prior project management experience preferred.
- Hands on testing experience for EMC/EMI/RF regulatory compliance including FCC/ISED, supporting applications like BT, WLAN/Wi-Fi, NFC, 802.11, LTE
- Experience working in the RF/Wireless, ICT, Appliance, Electronics in product regulatory and/or product development capacities.
- Experience using EMI receivers, RF amplifiers, Signal Generators, Surge Generators
- Experience with U.S., Canadian, and other international product safety standards, i.e., ANSI, CSA, UL, EN, IEC is a plus especially experience with EMC testing standards such as IEC 60601-1-2, IEC 61326-1 & -2, FCC subpart 15b, 61000 series, etc.
