Commodity Inspector 2 (Part time)
Intertek is searching for a part-time Commodity Inspector 2 (Union) to join our team in our Burnaby, BC office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career!
The part-time Commodity Inspector 2 is responsible for:
What you'll do:
Attend Vessel loading supervision to provide oversight for quality and cargo defects
Sample railcars and containers according to CFIA standards
Operate, trouble shoot and maintain coal sample plants to ensure a representative cargo sample is being obtained through out vessel loading.
Prepare samples for analytical testing according to accepted industry standards
Properly utilize and maintain all PPE and follow all terminal and site-specific safety requirements
What it takes to be successful in this role:
Experience in Inspection, Testing and Certification industry
Communication, literacy and numeracy skills in English
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to work shift work
Salary Information
The hourly wage for this position is between $41.10-$42.19 per hour. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
