Intertek Assuris – Premiums Assurance provides consultation and research services to global, brand-name companies involved in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of consumer products. Through research, testing, inspection, and certification, we help clients ensure their products are safe, reliable, and compliant with regulations. Our team uses innovative methods to reduce risks, including recalls, complaints, and injuries.
What are we looking for?
As a Safety Engineer, you will evaluate product safety and recommend measures to mitigate or eliminate hazards. You will be an integral part of ensuring our clients' products meet essential safety and regulatory standards. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What you'll do:
- Identify potential hazards in products and develop solutions to mitigate risks.
- Write technical reports to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Develop safety specifications and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards.
- Present test results and technical findings to clients.
- Conduct independent research to troubleshoot safety concerns.
- Identify opportunities for innovation, including new technologies and processes.
- Manage multiple projects to meet deadlines and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Communicate project requirements and expectations to team members and clients.
- Prepare proposals and participate in client meetings or presentations.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related scientific field.
- Experience in design, manufacturing, or quality assurance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of managing multiple projects.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project management experience.
- Knowledge of safety engineering principles and standards.
