What are we looking for?
The Welding Inspector (NDT) is responsible for performing inspections on welded components using various Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods to ensure compliance with codes, customer specifications, and quality standards. This position will travel at least 5% of the time.
Shift/Schedule: Monday-Friday, Various Shifts
Salary & Benefits Information
The base wage or salary range for this position is $45-$55 per hour based on relevant experience. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

What you'll do:
- Lead weld inspections using advanced or multiple NDT techniques (UT shear wave, PAUT, RT, MT, PT).
- Evaluate complex weld discontinuities and provide acceptance criteria per standards.
- Review, audit, and validate WPS/PQRs and welder qualifications.
- Provide technical guidance and training to Level I/II technicians.
- Prepare detailed reports and communicate findings to engineers and clients.
- Assist in procedure development and continuous improvement activities.
- Attend project meetings and support client consultations.
- Ensure accuracy of inspection records, certifications, and equipment logs.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
- 3–5+ years of welding inspection or NDT experience.
- AWS CWI or equivalent required (CWE, SCWI, CSWIP, API 510/570/653 a plus).
- ASNT Level II or III certification in relevant methods.
- Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- Ability to work in field and shop environments, including confined spaces and heights.
