Job Details
• Specialty: Registered Nurse
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Staffing ratios - goal is 1:4, but can be 1:5
• Weekends - variable based on unit needs
• No set/blocked scheduling as that is not something we offer our permanent staff
• Self-schedule requests - you will enter your schedule requests so we can see your preferred schedule before balancing and posting the final schedule
• First week of orientation is Mon - Fri dayshift. Second week is 36hrs of on-unit orientation with a preceptor
• Oncology experience preferred but not required
• Floating to other Med/Surg and Oncology Units
• Patient Diagnoses include Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma, Acute leukemias, Chronic Leukemias, Sickle Cell Disease, other non hem cancers, Other benign hematology
• Special Procedures/Unit Details include Chemotherapy, Blood transfusions, IV Antibiotics, Oncologic emergencies: tumor lysis syndrome, cytokine release syndrome, Insulin drips, Heparin drips, Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls

Job Requirements
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, ONS Chemo Cert
• Skills Required: MS/Tele, Telemetry, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams, Feeding tube care and management
• IV therapy/Phlebotomy
• Blood Product Administration
• Central line blood draw
• Peripheral Line Care/Management
• PICC line management
• Starting IVs
• COMPUTERIZED CHARTING: EPIC
