SSG SCHOOL-BASED MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAM                                                   

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a part-time Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Clinical Supervisor to provide VIRTUAL supervision to our LPC/A clinicians working in the state of GA.


Job Title: Mental Health Clinical Supervisor   

Supervisor: Clinical Supervisor Coordinator  

Terms of Employment: Employee understands that he/she is employed by Employer to provide services to assigned client site at the beginning of the school year (specific date to be determined) and continue through the end of the school year, unless terminated earlier. Employee will be supervised by Employer and should coordinate work, time off request, changes in schedule and any other issues with the supervisor.   


Minimum Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required  

Must hold either a National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) Approved Clinical Supervisor credential or a Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia (LPCAGA) Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor credential.

Master's degree in Social Work, or Counseling from an accredited Institution of higher learning.  

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW, LICSW), Professional Counselor (LPC, LCMHC), required. 

Minimum of 5 years working in the field of Social Work and/or Clinical Counseling with children, adolescents and/or teens. School based work, preferred. 

Minimum of 2 years providing clinical supervision.   

Minimum of 6 hours of clinical supervision training.  

Eligible to provide clinical supervision in the licensed state. 

Personal understanding of the clinical supervision requirements in your state. 

 

Essential Duties:  

Provide clinical support, mentoring, supervision, guidance, additional resources and/or assistance to assigned clinicians.  

Serve as a clinical resource, with a continued focus on providing ethical and quality services.  

Collaborate with the SSG Clinical Supervision Coordinator to fulfill supervision needs and evaluate clinicians as needed.  

Ensure that clinicians who are supervised comprehend and carry out ethical and best practice services.  

Contact the Clinical Supervision Coordinator with any concerns regarding clinicians within 2 business days to be addressed.  

Participate in scheduled team meetings, if needed.  

Update the Clinical Supervision Coordinator of capacity for additional clinicians throughout the school year.  

Schedule weekly supervision sessions in accordance with the state licensing board.   

Provide a professional, supportive and confidential environment for supervision sessions.  

 

Additional Duties:  

Complete an annual SSG evaluation of assigned clinicians and an annual self-assessment. 

Complete all state board required evaluations and documentation for the clinician to submit to the licensing board for review. 

Provide updated and current state license. 

 

Job Specifications:  

Performance review of this position will be evaluated on an annual time frame in accordance with SSG's employee guidelines.  

 

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand and reach with hands and arms; walk; sit; stoop or kneel; crouch or crawl.  

Additional physical requirements include the following:  

  • Physically capable of frequently lifting or moving 40 pounds.  

  • Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus  

  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.  

  • Manual dexterity for the purpose of using a telephone and data entry.  

  • Read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids.  

  • Hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone.  

  • Speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone

Must have a computer and database suitable for conducting supervision via video platforms (Zoom, Teams or Google Meets). If in-person sessions are required by the state licensing board, must have an appropriate and confidential environment to do so.
