The Stepping Stones Group is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher for a school-based position in Navarre, FL! The Special Education Teacher will be part of our on-site Special Education Services team and will serve to lead, inspire, and support students through individualized educational programs.
What You'll Do
- Support students with diverse learning and behavioral needs, adapting general education lessons to meet the individual needs of students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of students with identified special needs, ensuring their academic and developmental success
- Monitor student progress, making data-driven adjustments of teaching methods and materials needed to keep students on a successful learning path
- Manage behaviors by implementing effective behavior support plans that foster positive student outcomes
- Collaborate with general education teachers, RBTs, therapists, support staff, and families to build an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development initiatives to promote academic, social, and emotional growth

What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- K-5 General Teaching Certificate
- ESE certified
- Safety Care Certification – SSG will provide training, please prepare candidates
- 1+ year of experience as a Sped Teacher
- Experience with K-5 student population
