Kamehameha Schools is currently looking for an Enterprise Business Architect for a high level, high visibility enterprise business architecture initiative.

Our ideal candidate will have experience as a senior level Business Process Analysis, with experience in process analysis & mapping, and guiding clients through the process of developing business models, people, processes, organizational change, and investments.   (Business Architecture experience is a plus!)

This is a hybrid position based out of our Kawaiaha'o Plaza location.

Targeted salary is $110 - 115k.

Job Summary

Consults and collaborates with key stakeholders and decision makers across the enterprise to facilitate multi-disciplinary agreement on business strategy and outcomes, and identifying impacts, risks and implications of articulated enterprise wide strategies. Supports the success of strategic future state intentions by proactively and holistically leading activities that create deliverables that guide business models, people, processes, organizational change, and investments towards achieving targeted business outcomes. Understands and recommends the use of existing, new or emerging technologies in a practical manner to enable the organization's future-state business capabilities, to produce a value add operating model that effectively integrates business processes with information technology and data management concepts. Facilitates planning across disciplines towards development and execution of data driven methodologies to measure outcomes.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Facilitates activities across organizational disciplines to align and refine business strategies, capabilities, and other business perspectives.
  • Develops a Business Architecture plan and governance that ensures alignment with the other Enterprise Architecture viewpoints.
  • Performs objective-driven business impact analysis using the business architecture as a frame of reference.
  • Leverages business architecture and related business design disciplines to develop business solutions that address priority objectives.
  • Facilitates multidisciplinary conversations to prioritize initiatives and related investments required to achieve business objectives that support the business strategy.
  • Participates in enterprise strategy development, including environmental analysis, opportunity identification, value cases and business innovation portfolio development.
  • Provide strategic consultation to internal business units in defining or designing business capabilities, processes, functions and organizational structures as well as in researching, identifying and internally promoting and enabling technologies based on business and end-user requirements.
  • Seeks ways to apply existing, new and/or emerging technologies to business processes. Advise on options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impact on other business processes and system priorities.
  • Facilitate development of cross-enterprise solutions that combine knowledge of business processes and issues, general technological options, and process facilitation techniques.
  • Reviews the organization's digital strategy and how the organization currently approaches digital innovation. Collaborates with stakeholders involved with digital strategy and digital innovation to develop an IT and data investment roadmap.
  • Communicates and collaborate with technical staff as required for business and IT mapping, strategic planning. Keeps technology providers aware of key business issues, identifying and resolving potential problems and conflicts.
  • Participates in enterprise architecture development, including business architecture, information architecture, application portfolio and technical architecture.
Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications - A combination of education and experience may be substituted for the requirements listed.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems or related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of business or IT experience with direct responsibility for strategy formulation and/or translation, business analytics, and program management
  • Ability to communicate with executive leadership, understand the objectives of various internal and external groups, and understand enterprise priorities.
  • Assimilate and visualize complex information in ways that identifies gaps and opportunities.
  • Working knowledge of existing, new and emerging technology concepts and ability to communicate and apply business strategic context to technology.
  • Knowledge of strategic planning, business capability, and value stream identification in order to map current and target state views of the business.
  • Strong understanding of, and experience with, business process design principles, business process management, workflow and integration methods and tools.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of facilitation and organization change management; creative capacity to evolve and customize business architecture deliverables, embrace change and guide business and technology partners through complexity
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills; ability to create original concepts and theories for a variety of projects
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary work teams
  • Demonstrated skills in leading program management efforts involving the coordination of resources and goals across multiple related projects
  • Experience developing and monitoring delivery of efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, valuation and metrics development
  • Excellent ability to communicate, influence and persuade staff and leadership at various levels

Preferred Qualifications

  • Management experience in one or more of the following areas: strategic planning, leadership, business relationship management, and business process management
  • Knowledge and understand of different types of business and operating models
  • Statistical and information analysis skills

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently sits, perform desk-based computer tasks and grasp light or fine manipulation, talk or hear.
  • Occasionally stand and/or walk, write by hand, and lift and/or carry, push and/or pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
  • Rarely twist, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, climb, reach or work above shoulder, or grasp forcefully.

Working Conditions

  • This position may involve traveling to various locations, including neighbor islands to conduct business.
  • Work is conducted in an office/school environment and may require work to be conducted in non-standard workplaces.
  • Work is typically conducted Monday through Friday at normal business hours but evening and weekend hours are often required to meet goals and objectives.
