Description
The Laboratory Services Director establishes and implements policies and procedures to achieve departmental objectives and fiscal efficacy. Ensures tha the Laboratory complies with all state and federal regulatory agencies. Represents the
Laboratory with administration in the relationship with other departments. The Director has oversight of General lab, microbiology, blood bank, blood donor center, POCT, BMT, Molecular pathology, and LIS, lab QA/QI. Responsibilities include
interfacing routinely with Senior management, Pathology leadership, Nursing leadership, Ambulatory Clinic operations, IT, Patient Services, Process Improvement, Billing and Finance.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree Medical Technology or related field
Minimum Experience:
6 years of progressive hospital management or leadership experience overseeing multiple functions and large teams in a complex healthcare setting.
Minimum Skills:
Strong leadership, strategic vision and guidance, project leadership, financial acumen.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Demonstrates ability to work independently with minimal direction and supervision.
Demonstrates ability to utilize effective, appropriate and diplomatic oral and written communication skills.
Committed to excellence in patient care and customer service.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, planning and evaluation skills.
Preferred Education:
Master's degree Degree in related field
Preferred Certifications:
Clinical Laboratory Scientist - CLS
Clinical Laboratory Specialist in Chemistry (ASCP) OR in Microbiology.

The annual salary range for this position is $145,000 - $220,000.
