Our Cloud Architect is accountable for:

  • Drives the design, governance, and delivery of scalable, secure, cost-effective cloud solutions across the enterprise. Includes multi-cloud and hybrid environments focusing on platform automation, resilience, observability, and operational self-service. 
  • Aligns cloud strategy with business outcomes, leading modernization efforts and collaborating cross-functionally with application, DevOps, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure cloud adoption drives innovation and operational efficiency.


Essential Skills, Knowledge, & Experiences: 

  • 10+ years of IT experience, with 5+ years in cloud architecture or platform engineering roles.
  • Professional certifications are strongly preferred (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect – Professional).
  • Demonstrated success in implementing self-service automation and cloud platform modernization at scale.
  • Advanced knowledge of Azure and AWS platforms, including VPC/VNET architecture, IAM, storage, computing, and networking services.
  • Proven experience implementing self-service infrastructure solutions and automation-first approaches for internal users and engineering teams.
  • Strong understanding of platform engineering practices and internal developer platforms (e.g., Backstage, Kubernetes-based platforms).
  • Expertise in automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Service Catalogs, infrastructure request workflows, and provisioning APIs.
  • Deep understanding of cloud security controls, governance frameworks, and compliance requirements (e.g., PCI, HIPAA, ISO).
  • Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability platforms (Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry).
  • Experience with FinOps, tagging standards, cost analysis, and chargeback models for cloud spend optimization.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence across teams.
