Accounting Specialist

Salary: $45,000–$65,000 (based on experience)

A global automotive manufacturing company is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join its U.S. operations in Troy, Michigan. This full-time, on-site role offers hands-on experience, career growth, and the opportunity to work with a dynamic international team.

Responsibilities:
  • Process accounting transactions including vendor bills, purchase invoices, and bank activity

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure financial accuracy

  • Monitor customer and supplier aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances

  • Prepare payment runs and assist with tax and social declarations

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable balances

  • Classify and archive accounting documents in accordance with internal procedures

  • Support external consultants with financial statement preparation and audit documentation

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • 3–4 years of accounting experience (automotive or manufacturing experience preferred)

  • Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
