Job Title: Accounting Clerk
Location: Houston, TX 77063 (Southwest Hosuton)
Pay Rate: $24 hr
Schedule: Full-time Mon-Fri 8am-5pm 
Job type: Temp-Hire after 90 days

 

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Clerk . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with QuickBooks, be proficient in managing account reconciliations, invoicing, and maintaining accurate bookkeeping records. This role is crucial to ensuring financial accuracy and supporting daily accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and ledger updates

  • Process and issue invoices accurately and in a timely manner

  • Perform account reconciliations for bank statements, credit cards, and vendor accounts

  • Maintain and update financial records in QuickBooks

  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and summaries

  • Monitor accounts receivable and payable to ensure timely payments

  • Assist with year-end audits and provide necessary documentation

  • Communicate with vendors and clients regarding billing and payment inquiries

  • Maintain filing systems for financial documentation and support recordkeeping compliance

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk, Bookkeeper, or similar role

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks is required

  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles

  • Experience with account reconciliations and invoicing processes

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software

  • Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
