
Description
The External Consultant will function as the Accounting Team Lead providing expert technical and operational support, training and knowledge sharing for other team members. This role will help lead the team through organizational change by identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiency, while ensuring thorough documentation and cross-training to support sustainability and knowledge transfer. Works independently under broad direction, solving complex technical and managerial problems. Consultant role needed for approximately 6 months. Pay is competitive but based off of level of experience.
• Extensive accounting expertise
• Proven track record of leading teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance across diverse work styles.
• Ability to lead through ambiguity, making sound decisions and providing clarity in evolving or uncertain environments.
• Skilled in change management, guiding teams through transitions with strategic communication.
• Experience working with resistant teams, using influence and trust-building to overcome barriers and drive engagement.
• Willingness to challenge the status quo, identifying inefficiencies and process improvements that enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration, partnering effectively with stakeholders across departments to align goals and deliver results.
Qualifications:
• Prefer 5+ years of accounting experience • Prior experience providing work direction to others • Must possess solid interpersonal skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communications skills • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with team to identify process improvements.
