Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Chesterfield, MO

Employment Type: Full-time Job Overview This company is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's payment processes and supporting financial operations by ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. Key Responsibilities

  • Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and process invoices in the accounting system, ensuring all transactions are authorized and coded correctly.
  • Payment Management: Prepare and execute check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments, ensuring timely and accurate payment to vendors.
  • Vendor Relations: Communicate effectively with vendors to resolve discrepancies and maintain positive relationships.
  • Expense Reports: Review and process employee expense reports in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Reconciliation: Assist in monthly and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and audit support.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation to support audits and financial reporting.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Reporting: Generate regular reports on account payables status, providing insights and recommendations to management.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or related accounting function.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
