Description

Kelly Services is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-time Accounts Receivable Specialist to join an industry leader distributor specializing in concrete in Sun Valley, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring that all customer payments are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Receive and verify expense reports; reconcile expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records.
  • Facilitate payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Ensure outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identify discount opportunities, and issue purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.
  • Assist with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
  • Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
  • Create invoices according to company practices; submit invoices to customers.
  • Process new account applications including contacting references and ordering credit reports for submission to the credit manager for approval.
  • Draft correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identify delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contact delinquent accountholders to request payment.
  • Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Credit department staff.
  • Collaborate with the Credit Department to reconcile accounts receivable on a periodic basis.
  • Assist in generating monthly billing statements based on the general ledger.
  • High School Diploma required
  • 3+ years of experience in accounts receivable with construction or manufacturing industry experience required. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and work proactively.
  • Payrate: $24- $26.00 an hour
  • Part-time 3 days in office (days can be selected by employee), 30 hours a week.
