Job Title: Administrative Assistant I – Commercial Lines Assistant
Salary: $35,000 annually

We are a well-established Independent Insurance Agency located in Torrington, CT, committed to delivering exceptional service and support to our clients. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Commercial Lines Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and is eager to grow within the insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Commercial Lines Department

  • Handle data entry, scanning, printing, filing, and mailing

  • Prepare and process insurance documents including:

    • Certificates/Evidences of Insurance

    • Auto ID cards

    • Endorsements

    • Audits

    • Pending cancellations

    • Renewal policy paperwork

  • Draft correspondence and assist with daily operational tasks

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding items

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current Connecticut Property & Casualty (P&C) License preferred

    • Will consider supporting licensing for the right candidate

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Experience with internal Agency Management Systems a plus

  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Must enjoy working collaboratively in a team environment
