Kelly Services is hiring an Advanced Composite Technician II to support Gulfstream, a world-class aircraft manufacturer, at GAC Savannah, GA 31408. This is a long-term 48-month contract opportunity offering a weekend day shift schedule in a high-precision aerospace manufacturing environment.

Summary of the role:Under moderate supervision, the Advanced Composite Technician II performs composite part manufacturing functions in a production environment. Responsibilities may include lay-up, cutting, bagging, autoclave processing, trimming, and repair of composite aircraft parts.
Key responsibilities:-
Manufacture a variety of composite aircraft parts to meet manufacturing specifications in a team-oriented environment

Meet Manufacturing Competency requirements at the appropriate level during Employee Effectiveness Reviews

Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets to determine proper sequence of operations

Use specialized tools and precision measuring equipment, including 6" scale, 1" micrometer, and 6" dial caliper

Inspect completed work to ensure defect-free assemblies prior to inspection

Maintain and accurately complete all required logs and records (MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs, DR/DI, etc.)

Maintain a neat and orderly work area and support FOD, 5S, and safety programs

Support Lean manufacturing initiatives

Perform other duties as assigned

High School Diploma or GED (required)

Minimum of two (2) years of related composite experience

Ability to work with composite resins and materials

Ability to read and interpret blueprints
-
Ability to read and interpret a 6" scale
-
Basic computer skills
-
Valid driver's license required
-
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position

Ability to work any shift, as required
