We're seeking an Advanced Composite Technician III to work with Gulfstream, a world-class aircraft manufacturer, at GAC Savannah.

What's a typical day as an Advanced Composite Technician III? You'll be:
  • Manufacturing a wide variety of composite aircraft parts in a production environment

  • Performing complex composite functions such as lay-up, cutting, bagging, autoclave processing, trimming, and complex repairs

  • Reading and interpreting work orders, blueprints, Gulfstream specifications, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets

  • Using specialized tools and precision measuring equipment (6" scale, 1" micrometer, 6" dial caliper)

  • Inspecting completed work to ensure defect-free assemblies prior to inspection

  • Maintaining required logs and records (MIR sheets, DMTs, CRABS, PCOs, DR/DI, etc.)

  • Supporting FOD, 5S, and Lean manufacturing initiatives

  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area

  • Providing technical support and collaborating with team members to resolve manufacturing issues

  • Performing other duties as assigned

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:
  • High School Diploma or GED (required)

  • Three (3) years of related composite experience

  • Ability to work with composite resins and materials

  • Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills

  • Basic computer skills

  • Ability to use mathematical formulas to solve dimensional problems using fractions and decimals

  • Experience using precision measuring tools

  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role

  • Flexibility to work any shift, as needed
  • Valid driver's license
