What's a typical day as an Agriculture Field Service Technician? You'll be:
• Repairing and welding stalls to keep cows in place.
• Using MIG, TIG, and Stick Welding techniques to repair and maintain equipment. Experience in at least one technique is required, and the ability to learn the others is a plus. Experience in stainless steel welding is preferred.
• Fixing gates and diagnosing and repairing electronic panels in the stalls.
• Working on refrigeration equipment that cools the milk on the dairy farm, especially during the summer months.
• Understanding and repairing plumbing systems that transport milk through pipelines and into storage cans.
• Utilizing general hand tools and battery-operated power tools for mechanical work.
• Candidate must be willing to work beyond business hours considered to be normal
• Travel to locations within 50 mile radius with use of company truck. (Must have clean driving record)
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have experience in welding, specifically MIG, TIG, and Stick Welding. Experience in stainless steel welding is preferred.
• Possess knowledge of low voltage electrical systems (24 volt dc) and can diagnose and repair electronic panels.
• Have experience working with refrigeration equipment, especially in the context of dairy farms.
• Understand plumbing systems and can repair pumps and motors.
• Are mechanically inclined and have experience using general hand tools and battery-operated power tools.
