Analytical Chemist (Cosmetics/OTC)
Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking an Analytical Chemist (Chemist I) for a full-time, direct-hire position at a leading cosmetics and OTC company. Pay rate: $30 - $34/hr
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm with potential for overtime
Duration: Temp-to-Hire (~6 month temp period)
Overview
Our client is a prominent company in the cosmetics and OTC sector, focused on maintaining high standards in product testing and analysis. This role involves developing methods for analytical tests and conducting sample analyses using various instrumentation techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Develop methods for analytical tests utilizing HPLC, UPLC, and GC instrumentation and procedures meeting established standards and industry requirements.
- Analyze test samples utilizing appropriate test methods.
- Assist in overseeing work conducted by lab technicians or assistants.
- Troubleshoot out-of-specification test results.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in science related discipline
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with HPLC
- Experience performing analytical or chemical testing
- Familiarity with Agilent HPLC a plus
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, search engines, and spreadsheet creation.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to adapt to changes to improve company processes.
- Strong managerial skills to assist in overseeing work conducted by lab technicians or assistants.
