Kelly is currently seeking an experienced Analyzer Reliability Specialist for a long-term opportunity in the Freeport, Texas area! The primary goal of this role is to serve as company's Analyzer Reliability Specialist and to provide expertise for all analyzer related issues. The Analyzer Reliability Specialist provides technical expertise to ensure that the Oyster Creek manufacturing facility achieves its Operational Reliability and Asset Capability objectives. Analyzer reliability expertise is applied to address immediate and ongoing issues in the facility, and to proactively identify and implement preventative programs to ensure plant reliability. Is knowledgeable in local and federal standards and requirements and is a subject matter expert in these areas to help ensure that the company fully complies with these standards.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Ensuring reliability of analyzer systems including, all process analyzers, Gas chromatographs, analyzers used for regulatory reporting purposes, analyzers used for product quality and their associated sample conditioning and sampling systems. This includes daily verification of the analyzer and the sample systems to ensure that they are operating correctly.
- Develops and implements Facility and Equipment Maintenance Strategies for analyzer equipment to improve Operational Reliability (OR) and Asset Capability (AC) by creating preventive and predictive maintenance plans which to be executed as scheduled on a frequency based on prior experience, leveraging form other sites, vendor recommendations and regulations.
- Ensure that the analyzer sampling system and the sample conditioning system / heat tracing is properly maintained.
- Ensure availability of calibration gases and standards for all analyzers to maintain performance and accuracy of the analyzers.
- Replace calibration gas cylinders and gases as and when required.
- Ensure that a PPM program exists for all analyzers in the plant.
- Develop maintenance procedures to facilitate preventive and repair maintenance of analyzer equipment. Also ensure that calibration certificates / forms are maintained for all analyzers.
- Analyze PPM performance to improve the PPM program by changing frequencies / modifying tasks in the PM plans.
- Identify spare parts required for maintenance of the analyzers and ensure that they are stocked or sourced in time for the maintenance.
- Perform MOC reviews for analyzer systems and related processes as and when requested.
- Provides reliability and maintainability input to Engineering capital and expense projects and other improvement activities. Evaluates and quantifies the impact projects such as equipment reconfigurations, design changes, equipment quality, operating discipline, PPM strategies, etc. will have on ability to meet business needs.
- Provide assistance in developing a training program for analyzer systems as required.
- Lead or assist in Root Cause Investigation for analyzer related issues
- Coordinate and apply company work processes and Standards to meet established objectives in a timely and safely manner.
- Promote discipline knowledge exchange and quality application through technical coaching in order to achieve high performance standards.
- Coordinate and participate in the prioritization process of periodic technology improvements, upgrades, testing or any high value supported improvement opportunities to enhance maintenance activities and reliability across the site.
- Assist in providing advanced trouble shooting to ensure reliability, cost reduction and equipment productivity.
- Serve as a technical resource in technical evaluations of suppliers and projects to identify opportunities for improvement to achieve best quality.
- Monitor and validate supplier performance within the discipline operation unit to maintain and recommend opportunities for improvements in compliance with operational procedures and regulations.
- Review job history form to ensure the quality and reliability of equipment after maintenance activities completion.
- Review job feedback forms as they relate to job duration to optimize maintenance job execution.
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of Maintenance Facility Teams and discipline operations systems, processes and practices considering ‘industry best practice', improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
- Comply with all relevant health, safety, security and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude.
- Respond to any plant emergencies and call outs to the plant during normal hours, silent hours, weekends and holidays.
- Perform repairs to analyzers and the sample system if there is a failure.
- Download and provide data to regulatory specialists for analyzers which are part of the Compliance program.
- Part of the early returnee team after an emergency like hurricanes, storms or freeze events.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the analyzer systems maintenance/technical support
- Previous experience as an Analyzer or Instrumentation Technologist with good knowledge of analyzer systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows & MS Office
- Good communication skills
- Analytical skills
- Root Cause Analysis facilitation
- SAP Plant maintenance PM modules
- Capable of understanding the plan operation
