Full-time | Direct Hire | Hybrid
Kelly Engineering seeks an Application Engineer to join our client's vacuum lifters and crane systems division team.
The ideal candidate will have material handling experience and provide technical expertise, design support, and customer interaction to drive sales and ensure successful implementation of solutions. This role requires strong engineering skills, problem-solving, and a customer-focused approach.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Learn and apply vacuum automation theory and practical experience, product line knowledge, as well as market and competitor knowledge to recommend safe and correct solutions.
- Determine the right solution options for unique applications presented by customers.
- Employ project management skills, test and specify product projects for customers.
- Build rapport with and support end customers, distributors, and outside sales team with product support questions from the office and occasionally on client sites.
- Provide and support quotations to customers and distributors, as needed.
- Support other colleagues when necessary, including answering phones and assisting in assembly services.
- Provide market and product feedback to Product Management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
- 5-8 years of experience as an Applications Engineer in Industrial manufacturing processes.
- Experience working in the material handling industry
- Must be detail-oriented with a passion for developing and improving processes.
- Self-motivated with a hands-on approach.
- Strategic thinking and project execution are desirable.
- Experience with Solidworks / AutoCAD is preferred.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
TRAVEL
Approximately 15% - client sites, training, trade shows, etc.
