Kelly Services is hiring immediately in partnership with Cummins Inc. (formerly Meritor) for multiple Assembly Technician, Production Technician, and Material Handler roles in Fletcher, NC.

Pay and Schedule
1st Shift
•    $18.00 per hour
•    Monday – Friday
•    7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

2nd Shift
•    $18.75 per hour
•    Monday – Friday
•    3:15 PM – 11:30 PM

Overtime Requirement
•    Candidates must be willing to work overtime every other Saturday as needed to support production.

Job Responsibilities
Assembly Production Technicians
•    Assemble and stage components using written work instructions and production procedures
•    Operate and adjust manufacturing equipment
•    Perform tooling and fixture changes
•    Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators to ensure quality standards

Production Technician – Housing
•    Perform metal forming, welding, and cutting operations for drive axle housing components
•    Operate manufacturing equipment and select appropriate tooling and fixtures
•    Monitor product quality, troubleshoot issues, and perform rework as needed
•    Follow safety and operational procedures

Production Technician – Gearing
•    Operate CNC machines and integrated production cells
•    Work with robotic load/unload systems and auto-gauging equipment
•    Set tooling, offsets, and machine parameters
•    Monitor machining processes including drilling, turning, grooving, facing, and threading
•    Verify product quality using precision measuring instruments

Material Handlers
•    Operate forklifts, order pickers, and reach trucks safely
•    Pick, pack, label, and load customer orders using RF scanners
•    Transport and stage materials throughout the warehouse
•    Receive inbound shipments and perform inventory tasks such as put-away and cycle counts
•    Maintain safe and organized warehouse operations

Job Requirements
•    Assembly candidates: previous assembly experience preferred
•    Material Handlers: must have sit-down forklift experience
•    Must be willing to work overtime every other Saturday
•    Basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills
•    Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
•    Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
•    Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift
•    Some work areas may be hot and physically demanding. Candidates must be able to safely work in these conditions and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
