Description

Stryker, a leading medical technology company, is seeking an Assembler to join their team in Portage, MI. As an Assembler, you will play a crucial role in assembling mechanical units, fabricated parts/components, and electrical/electronic systems. You will use a variety of tools, including hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous equipment.

Location: Portage, MI
Schedule: 2nd shift Monday - Friday 1:45 pm - 10:15 pm
Payrate: $18.00/hour

Responsibilities:
- Assemble mechanical units, fabricated parts/components, and electrical/electronic systems to create subassemblies, assemblies, or complete units.
- Fit, align, calibrate, and adjust parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements.
- Repair units or products that have failed to meet requirements.
- Follow clearly defined procedures and tasks, as well as guidelines to aid in decision making.
- Utilize technical knowledge in your discipline area to perform tasks.
- Perform routine and manual tasks, following detailed and defined rules/instructions.
- Make simple judgments in straightforward situations, selecting between established solutions.
- Will work in small assembly team to meet daily production targets.
- Partners and works well with others.
- Great attention to detail and comfortable with small part hand assembly.
- Will be required to stand or sit for long hours.

Qualifications:
- No experience required, but 6 months of experience is preferred.
- Basic technical knowledge in the tasks performed in your discipline area.
