Job Overview As an Assembler, you will perform semi-skilled production, support, and clerical activities to receive components, assemble products, and prepare goods for shipment, all while meeting production and quality goals. Key Responsibilities
- Assigned to a manufacturing line or supporting area such as material flow, welding, or paint; may rotate departments/shifts per business needs
- Use hand or power tools to assemble parts and equipment
- Conduct visual and measurement-based quality checks
- Participate in safety training and adhere to plant safety policies and procedures
- Maintain inventory and report parts status manually or via computer
- Collaborate with and contribute to your work team
- Perform special project work as needed
- Clean and maintain equipment, facilities, and grounds using the 5S process
- Material flow associates may operate tractors, gators, forklifts, or tuggers to move, load, and sort parts
- Welding associates will operate robotic weld cells
- Repetitive bending, twisting, squatting, lifting, and overhead reaching
- Standing up to 10 hours per shift
- Lifting up to 35 lbs. without assistance
- Pushing/pulling force over 50 lbs.
- Reaching heights up to 90 inches from the floor
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to follow instructions and written processes
- Dependable with consistent attendance
- Positive attitude and resiliency, especially in fast-paced, high-pressure scenarios
- Commitment to continuous improvement and supporting teammates
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must pass a dexterity test (all positions)
- Eligible return status if previously employed at John Deere Power Products
- Pay: $18–$19 per hour + potential production bonuses up to $21.85 per hour
- 1st Shift: 6:00 am – 2:45 pm
- 2nd Shift: 4:00 pm – 12:45 am
- Rotating Saturdays & potential OT may be required
