Job Title: Assembly Technician
Location: North Phoenix 85027
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assemble sub-assemblies and components according to detailed assembly instructions.
- Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications and notify the supervisor to obtain additional resources.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and STERIS requirements and participate in training.
- Use departmental test procedures to ensure components and assemblies meet required specifications.
- Reject non-conforming parts and complete Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for supervisor approval.
- Follow drawings for exact assembly instructions and prepare for QA inspection.
- Print necessary labels and pack products according to specifications.
- Participate and promote a safety culture by completing required safety observations.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Utilize SAP to enter shop floor transactions and document revision levels, lot numbers, and serial numbers on revision data sheets for tracking quality.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on assembly experience from drawing to packaging of manufactured goods.
- Assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must be able to read and follow work instructions and write details about production processes.
- Proven ability to take direction, listen, learn, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Basic data entry and document retrieval skills.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to lift 20-30 lbs.
- Pulling and pushing 10-25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, standing, and walking.
