Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking an Associate Laboratory Technician for a temporary contract position with one of our industry partners in the Twin Cities area. Summary:
The Associate Laboratory Technician performs routine and non-routine laboratory tests to support material and process characterizations, technical service requests, and root cause investigations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who works well independently, thrives in a dynamic environment, and values lab organization and safety. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine and complex laboratory tests and analyses.
  • Execute laboratory test plans for material and process characterizations.
  • Support root cause investigations and technical service requests.
  • Document work accurately and provide status updates to requestors.
  • Manage lab equipment, supplies, and materials, including shipping and receiving.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on lab equipment.
  • Maintain lab cleanliness and support 5S and standardization initiatives.
  • Follow all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Support quality improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, suppliers, and customers.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Technician-level role, not a Chemist, so candidates with a bachelor's degree or higher in chemistry or engineering are not being considered at this time.
  • Completion of science-related classes preferred.
  • Hands-on laboratory experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and repetitive tasks.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.


    Additional Details:

    • Shift: 1st Shift
    • Pay Rate: $22–$27/hour (based on experience)
    • Employment Type: Temporary contract, W2 (~6 months, subject to change)
    • Location: Vadnais Heights, MN
