Up to $32/hr.

Overview
Located on the eastern border of Mississippi, our client's facility serves as a North American Center of Excellence for helicopter manufacturing and assembly. This site is responsible for producing rotary-wing aircraft for both civil and defense customers, including models used by the U.S. Army and other commercial clients.

This is an entry-level opportunity ideal for candidates with an engineering degree and at least one year of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or customization environment. In this role, you will support the Production Engineering team by converting engineering design data into work instructions for the fabrication, assembly, and installation of sheet metal, composite, and electrical components. You'll assist in creating and maintaining accurate MRP data structures to ensure compliance with configuration management, quality, and scheduling requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Audit technical work instructions and provide feedback for updates.
  • Evaluate and recommend changes to sequence tasks for improved manufacturing efficiency.
  • Input routing instructions, bill of materials (BOM), special process references, and standard times into the MRP system.
  • Collaborate with the PES team to improve the clarity and accuracy of work orders.
  • Coordinate across internal teams (Planning, Procurement, Engineering, Quality, and others) to ensure correct interpretation and implementation of design requirements.
  • Ensure material and operational updates are accurately communicated.
  • Apply basic knowledge of Configuration Management to ensure compliance with Parts 21 and 145.
  • Support implementation of design updates in serial production, retrofit, and completion activities.
  • Perform periodic inspections of MRP data structures for accuracy.
  • Provide operational support to other departments as needed.

Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of post-graduate experience in a manufacturing or customization environment.
  • Foundational understanding of industrial and/or manufacturing processes.
  • Proficient in computer use and standard office software.
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined under ITAR (U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder).:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Familiarity with material requirements planning systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Knowledge of FAA Part 21 and Part 145 environments.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience with SAP and G-Suite tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail).
