Description

Kelly Science is seeking an Associate Scientist for a growing company located in Newark, DE.
 
Pay: $23/hour
Shift: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm
Employment Type: Full Time; Long Term Contract
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Assist technical staff with routine laboratory operations and tasks to support scientific research projects.
  • Execute laboratory procedures and testing according to established methods and prescribed training.
  • Prepare, weigh, and handle test products and experimental chemicals accurately.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation, such as LC/MSn, HPLC/UV, titration platforms, and automation systems (liquid handlers).
  • Maintain and care for plant materials used in research experiments.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory notes and document all experimental data in appropriate software programs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures in all laboratory activities.
  • Translate oral and written instructions into actionable laboratory tasks.
  • Pay close attention to detail and demonstrate strong observational skills in all laboratory processes.
  • Collaborate effectively with a diverse team and contribute to achieving team objectives.
  • Work independently as required while balancing multiple assignments.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field
  • Hands-on experience with LC-MS instrumentation and basic laboratory skills including pipetting, extractions, etc.
