Associate Specialist – Cell Therapy Manufacturing

Pay Rate: $25.00 – $27.50/hour
Location: Rockville, MD (Onsite)
Duration: 12-month contract (possibility of extension)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

About the Role

We're seeking a Production Technician (Associate Specialist – Cell Therapy Manufacturing) to support the start-up and GMP operations of a state-of-the-art cell therapy manufacturing facility. You'll be part of a team producing cutting-edge clinical products that will drive the next generation of medicine.

This is an excellent opportunity for recent life sciences graduates or early-career professionals looking to gain hands-on experience in a GMP-regulated, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute and document manufacturing batch records, SOPs, and work instructions

  • Operate automated cell processing, expansion, and filling equipment in Grades A/B cleanroom

  • Support tech transfer and process development activities

  • Assist with deviation investigations, documentation review, and compliance tasks

  • Train team members on aseptic techniques, equipment operation, and GMP practices

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Process Development, QA, Clinical Ops, etc.)

  • Ensure a safe and compliant work environment

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in life sciences, engineering, or related field

  • 0–3 years (BS) or 0–2 years (MS) of cGMP manufacturing experience

  • Familiarity with biologics, cell culture, or vector-based products

  • Strong aseptic technique and cleanroom experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic data analysis

Preferred Skills
  • Experience in cell therapy or viral vector manufacturing

  • Familiarity with automated systems and process analytical technologies

  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and adapt in a dynamic environment

  • Strong communication and documentation skills
