Backhaul Coordinator
Location: Aurora, IL
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Payrate: $24/hour
Overtime: Occasional overtime as needed
The Backhaul Coordinator supports daily warehouse and logistics operations by providing clerical and administrative assistance within the receiving office. This role plays a key part in coordinating inbound and outbound activity, supporting drivers, and ensuring paperwork and system data are accurate and up to date.
Under general supervision, the coordinator performs standard yet diversified office and warehouse-support tasks that require working knowledge of warehouse operations, company policies, and logistics procedures. This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented role ideal for someone who can stay organized and focused while supporting multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities-
Assist warehouse clerks with receiving orders and checking drivers in and out

Support backhaul and will-call activities, including preparing orders for outbound pickup

Organize, file, and maintain shipping, receiving, and backhaul documentation

Enter and update information in internal systems and databases

Respond to general inquiries related to warehouse and logistics activities

Coordinate closely with warehouse staff, drivers, and supervisors

Follow established company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines

Perform additional administrative or clerical tasks as assigned by management

Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new systems

Comfort working with data entry, tracking, and documentation

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy warehouse environment

High attention to detail and accuracy

Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

Previous warehouse, logistics, or transportation support experience

Ability to think on your feet and adapt to changing priorities

Reliable, organized, and communicative

High School Diploma or GED preferred

1–5 years of related experience preferred
