Business Development Officer
Location: Brockton, MA (Onsite)
Salary: $100,000+ Bonus
Employment Type: Direct Hire, Permanent

About the Role:
Our client is seeking a results-driven Business Development Officer to grow commercial lending relationships. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, deepening existing relationships, and providing consultative financial services. The ideal candidate is sales-oriented, member-focused, and skilled at assessing client needs to recommend the right mix of commercial loans, deposit solutions, and other financial products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Originate business loan applications and review supporting financial statements to assess borrowing capacity, capitalization, and cash flow

  • Source new business prospects and develop relationships with members, providing financial guidance and identifying cross-sell opportunities

  • Make referrals for cash management, consumer loans, and deposit products

  • Meet regularly with clients and prospects to understand their financial structure and recommend solutions

  • Position the Credit Union as a trusted partner in clients' business success

  • Create new business opportunities through networking and community involvement

  • Represent the Credit Union in local organizations, volunteer events, and business networks

  • Partner with branch teams to ensure collaboration, follow-through on leads, and a “one-team” approach

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of business development experience in the banking industry

  • Proven track record of generating and closing opportunities

  • General business knowledge and confidence interacting with business leaders

  • Skilled in analyzing financial statements and assessing client needs

  • Strong analytical, organizational, negotiation, and customer service skills

  • Valid driver's license and insurance

  • Knowledge of SBA, 504, 7A products preferred
