5-7 years of capital equipment purchasing experience required in the automotive realm.
$90,000k - $100,000k

Responsibilities:
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers for specialized/technical equipment, prototypes, and testing services.
  • Request quotes and negotiate prices, delivery terms, payment schedules, and warranties.
  • Coordinate the purchase of specialized/technical equipment, prototypes, and testing services for product development.
  • Ensure prototypes meet technical specifications and functional requirements.
  • Oversee the development and timely delivery of prototypes.
  • Manage the hiring of laboratories or testing service providers.
  • Coordinate test dates, follow up, and report results.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Continuously evaluate supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, and lead times.
  • Manage contracts, NDAs, and purchasing terms.
  • Optimize costs.
