- Hourly Rate: $28–$33, based on experience.
- Assignment Length: 6 months or longer.
- Work Schedule: Hybrid – In-office Tuesday–Thursday; remote work Monday & Friday (reliable home office setup required). First 2 weeks 100% in office for onboarding/training.
- Location: Shoreview, MN
- Interview Process: One-hour, in-person interviews for selected candidates.
Job Summary:
The Buyer is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of purchase orders, collaborating with international teams and manufacturing partners, and managing the end-to-end order process. This position is vital in supporting the seamless transition of materials and products from overseas factories to the local order management operation. Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain purchase orders directly linked to customer sales orders.
- Accurately manage revisions and changes to existing purchase orders, ensuring all related documentation is updated promptly.
- Coordinate closely with team members across the US, UK, and manufacturing factories in India and China to track order acknowledgments and monitor shipping status.
- Proactively communicate purchase order adjustments to all stakeholders, ensuring alignment and preventing shipment or processing delays.
- Support the documentation process for inbound shipments, seamlessly delivering information to the US Order Management team.
- Maintain precise records of all internal and external communications and order details within the required database or system.
- Purchase Order Generation & Order Life Cycle Management: Demonstrated expertise in the accurate creation and comprehensive management of purchase orders from inception to final delivery.
- Detail Orientation: Proven ability to maintain complete accuracy and thoroughness in all documentation, communication, and transaction tracking.
- Multi-tasking & Prioritization: Strong organizational skills and experience managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or higher preferred.
- Previous experience in a buyer or purchasing role preferred.
- Proficiency with procurement, ERP, or supply chain management systems.
- Effective communicator, both written and verbal, with an ability to work well in a diverse, global team.
