CAD DESIGNER / Design Engineer (Janesville, WI)
Our client (highly regulated industry, business is medical isotopes and therapeutics), is currently hiring a CAD DESIGNER to support the final phases of construction for a cutting-edge nuclear medical facility in Janesville, WI.
Help us bring life-saving nuclear medicine to the world — one CAD model at a time. You'll work directly with engineers and project managers to generate 3D models, GA drawings, and walkdown documentation to keep construction on track. Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years of design experience, comfort with fast-paced environments, and confidence working with AutoCAD-based systems (Plant 3D, Revit, or similar).
What You'll Do:
Create and revise 3D facility layout designs (piping, HVAC, electrical conduit).
Interpret redlines, P&IDs, and design markups from engineers.
Conduct field walkdowns and translate construction site updates into design documentation.
Collaborate across engineering, construction, and procurement teams.
Ensure compliance with B31.3 piping codes and internal design standards.
Must-Haves:
3+ years of CAD design experience in piping, MEP, or industrial facilities.
Strong AutoCAD skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal handholding.
Willingness to work 100% onsite in Janesville, WI.
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D and/or Revit.
Familiarity with P&IDs, PFDs, and walkdown documentation.
Previous work in nuclear, pharma, biotech, or regulated industries.
