Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation:
$38 - $40 per hour

What does a typical day look like for a Cash Applications Analyst? You'll be:
• Downloading and saving daily cash activity from bank portals and Merchant Processor sites, reporting to the Finance Manager.
• Applying and posting AR payments to customer accounts and non-AR cash receipts to GL.
• Creating batches for EFT, Wires, ACHs, and Checks while monitoring Payment and Remittance shared Inboxes to address inquiries.
• Applying payments when necessary, using remittance information.
• Working with internal departments (Finance, Treasury) regarding payment identification, changes to bank accounts, coding, EDI activity, and other issues.
• Identifying and applying exceptions, including but not limited to the creation and coding of deductions, paybacks, and on-account payments.
• Providing check images and backup to other Analysts upon request; responding to their requests in a timely manner.
• Identifying & resolving issues with bank/Merchant Processor feeds and/or system related errors.
• Posting OBILLS, NSF's/chargebacks, and Intercompany Netting entries.
• Supporting Cash Application Analysts, supplying workload coverage when necessary.
• Assisting with or performing month-end closing process activities.
• Replying to Audit requests as assigned, meeting deadlines.
• Performing system enhancement/conversion testing, as required.
This role might be a great fit for you if you:
• Have at least 3 years of experience in a related Accounting role; (which includes cash application experience)
• Possess strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and V-lookup; experience with Carixa, Oracle, or SAP is a plus.
• Are detail-oriented with strong analytical skills, capable of efficiently managing high volumes of manual cash receipts accurately.
