Chemist

Kelly Outsourcing Consulting Group Kelly OCG, a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking a Chemist for a long-term engagement at one of our Global Medical device clients in Jacksonville, Florida.  
This role is a full-time, fully benefitted position. As a Kelly OCG employee you will be eligible for Medical, Dental, 401K and a variety of other benefits to choose from. You'll also be eligible for paid time off, including holiday, vacation, and sick/personal time. All Kelly OCG employees receive annual performance reviews.
Day shift Monday through Friday – 40 hours a week

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine test analysis of raw materials, and leachable contact lens components according to validated test methods which utilize High Performance Liquid Chromatography HPLC , and Gas Chromatography GC instruments under GLP guidelines
  • Analyze, review and report data generated using Empower, Chromeleon and LIMS systems.
  • Responsible for running non-TM methods for comfort agent, preservative, lipid and protein analysis using various chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques.
  • Perform Appearance and FTIR ID testing as related to only raw material release
  • Analytical techniques include: LC/UV/ELSD, LC/MS and FTIR. c. Analyze, review and report data generated using Empower, Chromeleon and LIMS systems.
  • Receives and organizes samples in the lab.
  • Prepare and analyze samples and standards as per indicated Test method.
  • Set up instrumentation.
  • Process data and develop reports via Empower, Chromeleon and Labware LIMS e. Perform OOS/OOT analysis and reports
  • Communicate with customers to verify, update or report results throughout analytical processes.
  • Support validations via testing and data analysis based on validation protocols.
  Education And Requirements
BS Chemistry with 0-2 years of experience
undergrad research experience a PLUS
hands on HPLC a PLUS
