Chemist (Analytical)
Kelly Science and Clinical has an opening for a Chemist (analytical) for a long-term engagement at one of our Global medical device clients in Jacksonville FL.

Day shift – Monday through Friday 40 hours a week
Pay $22 -28 an hour based on experience
Must be able to supply own laptop
Responsibilities

  • Analytical Chemistry Sample Analysis: Conduct chromatographic analysis of samples submitted to the analytical laboratory, ensuring adequate sample quantity and accurate submission of records.
  • Test Method Application: Utilize validated and qualified chromatographic test methods documented in QUMAS/truVAULT as per customer requests.
  • Deviation Reporting: Prepare deviation and investigation reports related to testing processes.
  • Sample Throughput: Achieve a maximum throughput of 5,000 samples for chromatographic analysis per month.
  • Data Reporting LIMS Submission: Responsible for submitting all generated data into the appropriate validated and approved Vision Laboratory Information Management System LIMS .
  • Laboratory Notebook Maintenance: Maintain a laboratory notebook and ensure all generated data is submitted properly to the validated Vision LIMS.
  • Laboratory Upkeep Material Availability: Ensure that all necessary materials, including glassware and lab supplies, are available for laboratory operations. I
  • Instrument Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance of lab instruments by maintaining calibration and instrumentation logs, and tracking calibration due dates.
  • Environmental Monitoring: Monitor temperature and humidity in climate-controlled equipment.
  • Document Storage Coordination: Coordinate off-site storage of analytical documents, including hard copies uploaded into the LIMS and laboratory notebooks no longer required on-site.
  • Project Work Method Implementation: Execute non-TM methods for comfort agent, preservative, lipid, and protein analysis using various chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques.
  • FTIR Testing: Perform Appearance and Fourier Transform Infrared Identification FTIR ID testing of raw materials as required.
  • Laboratory Management Inventory Control: Maintain raw materials inventory levels in the lab, ensuring sufficient quantities are available.
  • Labeling Verification: Verify proper labeling of materials according to procedures, ensuring no inspection findings of mislabeled or expired materials.all safety protocols while on the premises
Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Chemistry or related field 0-2 years of experience in a similar role or undergraduate research, Internships. In-depth knowledge of chromatographic techniques and laboratory safety procedures
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and organizational skills
