Job Title: Fork Lift Operator - Cherry Order Picker and High-reach Driver

Location: Rural Hall, NC

Shift: 2nd Shift (Mandatory OT, 10-hour days, weekend availability required) 2PM-10PM

Experience Required: 6+ months

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Fork Lift Operator with skills in Cherry Order Picking and High-Reach Driving. This role involves solid case picking for BPW and requires candidates who are not afraid of heights. Responsibilities include:

  • Removing empty cases from pick locations and placing them on the takeaway conveyor.
  • Efficiently moving cartons from pick locations to pallets in the staging area, palletizing by customer order.
  • Using a wrist mount or fixed scanner to scan each carton to a pallet, ensuring the count matches what's on the scanner.
  • Checking cartons for damage and reporting any quality issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Shrink wrapping pallets and assisting with non-routine duties as required.
  • Maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly work area while promoting safety.
  • Applying labels to cases and reading/understanding planograms.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
  • Regular attendance and ability to adapt to changing procedures, policies, and work environments.
  • High level of accuracy, detail orientation, and good hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing, and understanding implied instructions.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Knowledge and efficient use of a wrist mount scanner.
  • Ability to learn and understand distribution/production business procedures.
