Gain hands-on experience in medical billing and claims management with a global eyewear company

Competitive pay rate: $22/hr

Full-time, consistent schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Hybrid (2x a week in office)

6-month contract with potential to convert to permanent

Collaborative role supporting medical billing, claims processing, and patient account management
-
Reviewing medical claims and submitting them to insurance carriers using EHR systems and clearing houses
-
Monitoring rejected claim reports and adjusting claims for resubmission

Downloading EOPs (Explanation of Payments) to post claim payments and denials in the system

Investigating denied claims and resubmitting when applicable
-
Researching aging balances and resubmitting claims within insurance filing limits

Partnering with the clearing house to distribute patient billing statements and posting payments in the portal

Initiating overpayment refunds to patients and repayments to insurance carriers

Serving as the point of contact for the practice regarding all vision and medical claims

Supporting the corporate manager in maximizing claim collection rate

High school diploma
-
3+ years of experience in medical billing and coding
-
Ability to prioritize issues and manage multiple tasks

Strong organizational and communication skills (verbal, written, listening, presentation)
Bonus / Preferred:

Experience working in multiple doctor practices

Familiarity with multiple insurance carriers and their claim requirements

Proven ability to identify issues and solve problems
