What's a typical day as a Claims Processor? You'll be: - Supporting the Claims Processing team by efficiently and accurately handling standard claims and adjustments to ensure timely service delivery.
- Meeting or exceeding key performance metrics, including production volume, cycle times, and quality benchmarks.
- Contributing to special claims initiatives and non-complex project work, including efforts tied to provider networks and process improvements.
- Rapidly adapting to processing changes stemming from new benefit plans, policies, or system updates.
- Partnering with supervisors and team members to deliver strong customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborating with EyeMed Account Managers, Operations, IT, Client Representatives, and leadership to ensure service alignment and client satisfaction.
- Consistently meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) tied to accuracy and productivity in a high-volume claims environment.
- Proactively identifying performance gaps and working with supervisors to build actionable self-improvement or remediation plans.
- Maintaining strong attention to detail while using systems and tools to process claims accurately and efficiently.
- Supporting the broader mission of operational excellence by contributing to a culture of accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:
- Solid data entry and claims processing knowledge
- Familiarity with interface systems, including EyeMed Claims System, Metastorm, Exclaim, and EyeNet
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access
- Understanding of third-party benefits and administration
- 0–1 year of experience in claims processing and/or data entry
- Proficient in using PCs and spreadsheet applications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
