Kelly is hiring for a CMM Quality Assurance Technician

We are looking for a CMM Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet quality standards and are free of defects. The Quality Assurance Technician will be required to inspect incoming materials, test products during production, and monitor the final product before it is shipped. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail and the ability to identify potential issues quickly and efficiently.
Shift:
Mon - Thur 5:00A - 3:30P Fridays as needed
Responsibilities:

  • Inspect finished products, including steel components, to ensure that they meet the necessary quality standards.
  • Use measuring tools, such as micrometers and tape measures, to ensure that products meet specifications.
  • Document inspection results and communicate any quality issues to management.
  • Maintain records of inspection results, including photographs, measurements, and other data.
  • Monitor the steel fabrication process to ensure that it meets the necessary quality standards.
  • Ensure that all equipment used in the fabrication process is in good working order and maintained according to schedule.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to identify opportunities for quality improvement.
  • Maintain/control of all nonconforming products.
  • Alert management when a quality issue arises,
  • Issue, when necessary, reject tags for: purchased materials, internal parts, & finished goods,
  • Perform sorting and rework, when necessary,
  • Create control plans
  • Perform hourly audits on production process
Position Requirements
1. Experience using basic measuring devices – micrometers, calipers, tape measure, and
check gages,
2. Be able to interpret and fill out quality check sheets on the floor,
3. Be able to interpret part quality based on the quality check sheet,
4. Have basic computer skills in the use of Microsoft Excel & Word,
5. Have basic math skills.
