ABOUT THE JOB
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manufacture parts and components for hand-held surgical instruments.
- Programming, setting up, and operating sophisticated and complicated CNC metal machining equipment, specifically Citizen lathes or comparable equipment.
- Set-up and operate manual and less sophisticated CNC metal machining equipment.
- Use of measurement instruments including micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators.
- Physical Requirements Lifting up to 20 lbs., seeing, standing, walking, sitting
- Environmental Factors Machine shop environment Grease, cutting fluids Safety Glasses Education Required :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred : Machine shop certificate preferred
Desired Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred : Machine shop certificate preferred
- Experience with manual machining of metal.
- Experience and demonstrated ability programming, setting up and operating sophisticated and complicated CNC metal machining equipment, including Citizen lathes or equivalent equipment.
- Experience programming, setting up and operating less complicated CNC machining equipment.
- Excellent manual dexterity.
- Ability to visualize shapes.
- Ability to follow verbal and written manufacturing procedures.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Strong team player with the demonstrated abilities and willingness to perform a wide range of tasks within a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to seek guidance whenever faced with conflicting priorities.
- Great approach and commitment to getting the job done.
