Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Coating Technician to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to apply a catalytic WashCoat to substrates, which can be ceramic or metallic, through dipping or pouring methods. This position involves manual labor and requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply a water-based catalytic WashCoat to various substrates by dipping or pouring methods.
  • Work with substrates that are similar in size and shape to standard auto catalytic converters.
  • Record weights and input data into a database accurately.
  • Pack coated substrates into a batching oven and prepare heat-treated substrates for palletizing.
  • Perform ancillary functions, including:
    • Laser etching codes onto the side of coated substrates.
    • Applying insulation tape on the perimeter of coated substrates.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Experience: One to three years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working with chemicals is a plus.
  • Computer skills and familiarity with data entry are advantageous.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
Working Conditions:
  • Shift: Full-Time, 2nd Shift from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform manual labor.
  • Must successfully pass a drug test and background check.
  • Valid ID required.
Compensation:
  • Hourly wage: $18-$20 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications.
