Job Title: Machine Operator
Location: Wood Dale, IL 60191, United States
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 2nd Shift 230-midnight
Position Overview:
Join our global, industry-leading team as a Machine Operator! We are a premier distributor and manufacturer of fasteners and critical components, dedicated to serving the heavy truck, automotive, and a wide range of other markets. As a key member of our production team, you'll operate specialized manufacturing equipment, help ensure smooth operations, and maintain high standards for quality and safety. Main Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Review, validate, and load materials for production
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot production machinery
- Monitor processes using machine controls and basic quality systems
- Inspect manufactured parts using precision measuring tools (such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges)
- Maintain accurate records and complete necessary documentation
- Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet production goals
- Keep your work area clean and follow all safety procedures
- Perform routine machine maintenance and report any issues promptly
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Collaborative, results-focused attitude
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to understand production blueprints and perform precision measurement
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 3 years' experience operating industrial machinery (cold heading experience is a plus, but other machine operation backgrounds will be considered)
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for 8–10 hours per shift
- Experience with dies is a plus, but not required
