Description

Job Title: Communications Specialist

Are you passionate about change management and stakeholder engagement? Join our Contract Market Modernization (CMM) Program team as a Communications Specialist. In this role, you'll leverage your expertise in communication strategies to drive large-scale transformations, modernizing contract market operations, and enhancing customer and employee experiences.

Job Specifications:

  • Job Type: Contract
  • Location: Hybrid (North York or Chatham; Remote: Wednesdays & Fridays)
  • Pay Rate: Competitive Rate
  • Shift: Mon-Fri, 37.5 hours/week

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement communication plans during the program's Build and Implementation phase.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to adapt communication strategies to specific needs.
  • Manage stakeholder files and maintain program distribution lists.
  • Create engaging communication materials, including presentations, emails, videos, and infographics.
  • Oversee the communications review process to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Coordinate with channel owners to ensure effective communication delivery.
  • Maintain consistency and accuracy of key messages across all platforms.
  • Manage and update the CMM program's eLink and SharePoint sites.
  • Support change management, change network, and training activities.
  • Mentor team members on communication best practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business Management, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in communications roles, preferably within large organizations.
  • Proven track record in developing communication strategies for transformational changes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Viva Engage, and other relevant tools.
  • PROSCI Change Management Certification or equivalent is an asset.
  • Experience with eLink and SharePoint administration is a plus.
  • "G" Licence and Driver's Abstract as some travel is required.
