Facilities Maintenance Technician
Shift: 1st Shift, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Pay: $37 - $40 per hour (Based on Experience)
Location: Durham, NC
6+ month contract
Under the supervision of the Manager of Utilities and Facilities Maintenance, the Facilities Maintenance Technician III will use their expertise in multi-craft maintenance (including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing) to ensure the facility's systems and infrastructure are well-maintained and functional. This position requires working in a GMP-regulated environment and completing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks. The technician will ensure compliance with safety and company protocols while providing operational support for manufacturing and plant equipment.
Job Responsibilities:-
Assist with maintenance planning and job aids for both new and existing equipment.

Operate and maintain plant utilities systems, such as water, HVAC, air compressors, and plant steam systems, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

Serve as the subject matter expert for plant utilities, HVAC, and building support equipment.

Provide on-call support and off-shift work as required.

Manage electrical infrastructure, emergency power systems, and distribution.

Lead and perform maintenance activities to keep the facility in a qualified state.

Ensure maintenance activities are properly documented in compliance with GMP standards.

Mentor junior facilities staff and provide oversight to contractors and third-party service providers.

Review, implement, and update maintenance SOPs and policies.

Assist with risk assessments and provide support during audits.

Offer hands-on technical support during process development and validation activities.

High School diploma required, Associate's degree in a technical discipline preferred.

Previous experience in GMP settings preferred.

Certifications or experience in electrical, HVAC, or plumbing.

Strong knowledge of utility systems, HVAC, plant steam, industrial electrical infrastructure, and single-use technologies.

Proficiency in using computerized maintenance systems such as CMMS, BMS, or SCADA.

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift, bend, and carry materials as necessary.
