What's a typical day as a Controller You will:
  • Serve as the Plant Controller and key member of the site leadership team, acting as the Plant Manager's financial partner to support strategic decision-making, accountability, and profitability.
  • Lead site financial planning activities, including annual budgeting, RF1/3 forecasting, and variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast), with clear explanations and actionable insights.
  • Oversee month-end close and plant accounting processes, ensuring accuracy of financial statements, balance sheet integrity, and compliance with HPS/LS financial policies and internal controls.
  • Drive cost accounting and standard cost development within a manufacturing environment to improve cost transparency, margins, and operational performance.
  • Support operational excellence and compliance, promoting safety, environmental standards, and continuous improvement of internal business processes.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing/plant environment as a Cost Accountant or Plant Controller.
  • Strong experience in manufacturing forecasting, planning, and analysis (FP&A), including S&OP and quantitative analysis.
  • Solid foundational knowledge of accounting, finance, and business principles.
  • Proven ability to lead and execute projects, meeting performance commitments.
  • Ability to develop and conduct training for both individuals and groups.
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented approach; anticipates needs and acts without being prompted.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, analytical skills, and strategic/systemic thinking.
  • Ability to assess changes in manufacturing operations and commercial strategy and clearly communicate the financial impact.
  • Experience developing processes and procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls in complex organizations.
  • Prior experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, QAD, Oracle).
