Senior Controls Engineer 
North of Charleston, SC
$55-$70/hr

Join a fast-paced, mission-driven team building advanced automation systems to support sustainable metal and chemical recycling. This role focuses on designing, programming, and supporting control systems for new production lines and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
•    Design and implement reliable, in-house automation systems, including electrical panel specs, instrumentation selection, functional specs, programming, and commissioning.
•    Troubleshoot and maintain plant control systems, including SCADA, HMI, PLC, DCS, vision systems, robotic cells, and OT networks.
•    Collaborate with process, infrastructure, and operations teams to deliver large-scale capital projects.
•    Support startup and commissioning of new production lines.
•    Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards through risk assessments and system design.

Qualifications
•    Bachelor's degree in engineering; 5+ years of automation experience in manufacturing.
•    Strong process control knowledge, including PID loops and advanced strategies (e.g., MPC, APC).
•    Proficient with DCS systems (e.g., Siemens PCS7, DeltaV, PlantPAx, Honeywell Experion) and SCADA platforms (e.g., Ignition).
•    Skilled in reading P&IDs, electrical troubleshooting, and control wiring.
•    Familiar with industrial standards (ISA, IEC, NFPA) and safety system integration.
•    Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
