Job Title: Credit Coordinator
Location: Remote
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. CST
Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
Position Summary
The Credit Coordinator is responsible for monitoring customer credit terms and compliance, managing credit holds/releases, and collecting delinquent accounts. This role involves negotiating payment schedules, resolving moderately complex credit issues, and collaborating closely with sales, support office teams, and customers. The Credit Coordinator also assists the Credit Manager with credit risk investigations, approval of new credit lines, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and recommend credit terms for new customer accounts, ensuring complete documentation.
- Monitor accounts receivable for compliance with terms; resolve skips, short payments, credit memos, and unapplied cash in a timely manner.
- Implement and negotiate payment plans for past-due accounts.
- Support the Credit Manager with:
- Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and regulatory requirements.
- UCC filings as needed.
- Preparing and submitting uncollectible accounts for third-party collections or write-off.
- Partner with Sales and customers to resolve credit and collection issues.
- Maintain accurate credit and collection records; prepare required reporting.
Qualifications
Required: - Minimum 2 years of Credit/Accounts Receivable experience.
- Experience in the transportation or logistics industry.
- Strong financial analysis, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work across multiple levels and with customers.
- ERP experience.
- Self-directed, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Experience working with offshore resources.
- Track record of improving credit/collection metrics.
- High school diploma or GED (college coursework or equivalent experience preferred).
- 2+ years of credit and collections experience in logistics/transportation.
- Turvo/Nvision system experience.
